August/September 2017 Newsletter

We would like to welcome our new and returning students to the 2017-2018 school year. The first couple of weeks has gone very well with the new students “learning” their routine and what is expected of them and the returning students “remembering” their routine. We hope to see each child “normalized” quickly and using their inside voices, walking feet and putting everything away
and in its’ proper place.

We appreciate everyone that came to our parent orientation. We are sure everything did not get talked about so if you have any questions, please feel free to call the office and we will try to help you. We know that you are probably anxious to observe your child in the classroom. We start our observations in October. This gives each child a chance to get familiar with their new environment and lessons using the equipment. It also gives time for the child to be able to see you in the classroom and not have an anxiety attack and cry when you leave. If your child is in the Primary classes, sign-up sheets will be out the end of September on the main hallway sign-in table. Toddler sign-ups will be on their cubby by their door. The Elementary observations will start in October also and will continue throughout the school year. You can call the office to set up an appointment.

We want to express our condolences to Ms. Diane who worked for us for ten years as the enrichment teacher with the loss of her husband, Ron last week.

If you would like to send her a card, you can drop it off at the office and we will get it to her. She will be returning as our Music teacher in the near future. We are looking forward for her continuing to be part of our team. Ms. Donna is our new Enrichment
teacher and is doing a wonderful job. The children love her. She has a very loving spirit and very patient with the children. She will be an asset to our school.
